Very cool if youve got the map you need.

PDF maps with embedded GPS data are rare, but if one exists that suits your needs, this is a huge advancement over the paper print-out.

On my iPhone, Ive used it for cycling and transit and while it takes a long time to do the initial rasterization, once the bitmaps are in there, the interface is very fast and smartly designed. At first I thought it was lame that it could not keep the file vector, but even on my MacBook Pro, some PDF maps can take 10 seconds to render so I can understand why the maps need to be bitmaps.

I cant wait for more maps and I hope I can use this the next time Im a tourist somewhere new.
