Avenza Maps: Offline Mapping App Reviews

If you want online maps of the NYNJ Trail Conference, which happen to be the maps I like most, you are stuck with this clunker of an app. Nothing about it is intuitive, there isnt a possibility to correct a track if the GPS went haywire, and I would ditch it for Maps 3D immediately if there was any other way to see the NYNJTC maps with a dot for my location. But there isnt, so for now I consult this when my other apps dont show me where that abandoned mine used to be, or how many viewpoints I have ahead of me.

Itd be much smoother if the app just worked like most other apps and you bought stuff from the App Store. Instead, theres this multi-step login process (on each device you own) for each purchase you make. Half a dozen dialogs pop up. Not a great experience. If you dont use their store, then if you delete the app by mistake or get a new phone or want to use it on your iPad, you have to buy every map all over again for each device. Who thought this was a great idea?
